Diversify Right Away?

I am planning on starting to invest on Etrade soon with 1,000 dollars. I am a graduating Finance major, so I know a little about researching stocks and the such. My questions is to invest the whole $1,000 in a stock that I feel strongly about, or get a bunch of stocks for my G.
