My cold sore came back?

I had a really bad outbreak about a month ago i woke up one morning with three cold sores!!! i took care of them and let them run their course...i was under alot of stress and just let them be. anyway they left a scar on my upper lip and I've had that scar for about 3 weeks but now i have a little bubbling and slight swelling on that scar doesnt look or feel like a normal cold sore but I'm going to treat it as one just in case it is. I've been putting abreva on it and taking L-Lysine tablets daily so it doesnt get worse. would could it possibly be? is it a cold sore trying to come back???? has anyone had this before???
