Do cactus wrens eat popcorn?

I threw some leftover popped popcorn in the back yard to see if any birds would eat it, and there are over a dozen wrens (and two woodpeckers) out there now. The wrens pick up the kernels and fly under the shade of the orange tree with them and peck at them, but I can't tell if they're actually eating them. Are they? And is it good or bad for them? I've never seen so many wrens.

Bad Dye Job?

Today I dyed my hair blonde. I didnt bleach it, i dyed it. The first time I did it it was VERY orangy and I missed a couple spots so my cousin did it for me again a couple hours later. That time it was still pretty orange but a little bit better. It looks pretty awful. I have bleached it in the past and it looked good, but it is so bad for hair...my hari was FRIED. I finally have it healthy again and I don't wanna mess that up. How can I fix my bad dye job? Could I just forget the blonde altogether and dye it dark? 1974 Plymouth Valiant fuel economy?

I have a 1974 Valiant with terrible fuel economy. (10-13MPG) the engine i have in the car (225 Slant 6) is supposed to get just under 30MPG with an automatic transmission. The carburetor is rebuilt, i just replaced the PCV valve, spark plug wires, air filter, and spark plugs. i changed all the gaskets and hoses. what else would cause such poor fuel economy. what else should i check? I have a fair knowledge in auto mechanics, so don't be afraid to use technical terms.

The stroker mod is good but if you wish to have factory reliabillity you have to re-adapt your driver responce. My factory 300hp 350ci in my 70 monte was extreamly agile. Between the exhaust cut-off and the thermac-air cleaner embly and the secondary carb block-off, was I able to go 90k miles above and beyond the 80k long-block rebuild. The weak link was the factory T-350 trans and converter. I strongly suggest a converter with the updated sprag bearings. If your machine is posi-traction , update the entire /converter to modern spec's. My stock '70 could run 145mph all day long. It came stock with the trailer option. Big 4-core radiator and a extra cooler. The 10-bolt axle was 2.45 with 235-7x15's. This engine could sustain a solid 6800 rpm! All factory!.

Why don't any MMA fighters sprawl to defend a shot?

They do but a lot really depends on some other things. Which type of dog should I get?

Looking for some insight to help me decide which type of dog I should get. Basics = I have 2 children 2 yrs and 4 months old, 1/4 acre back yard with a 6ft fence, semi active live style (I live across the st from a walking park and within a mile from a bike trail that I do take advantage of everyday except mondays I work on mondays) so the dog would get at between 45 mins and three hours of excercise everyday coming along with me but of course there will be times during the day when I will have to ignore it to take care of the kids. Im looking for a dog that #1 will be good with my kids, and #2 I want a dog that can be a protector kind of too. See I used to have an American Pitbull Terrier I got when I was 16 after being mugged by a man while out on a walk I didnt train it to be mean at all he was quite sweet I just thought that weirdos might think twice when I was with him. I wont get another young pitbull though bc of numerous family member concerns (whether warranted or not I care about my family and dont want them to worry) and bc there are just too many indesriminant breeders in my area i cant risk it with my kids and I dont want to risk furthering any bad tendencys in the breed. Im not getting another puppy from the pound I've gotten 2 and they have both died within the 1st week of getting them even though I let the pound know what was going on. I talked to a vet on how to disenfect my home and have fostered two other puppies between then and they did not get sick so my home is fine. HELP PLEASE!! Unbearable situation with Mother-In-Law?

I just posted earlier today about my enfuriating (soon-to-be) mother-in-law, and something else just happened that´s made me really mad....Basically Im from a Western country, but im living in a latin american country where everybody lives at home till they are married...which means that even though my boyfriend is 29 and I´m 27, and we´re planning on getting married, he STILL LIVES AT HOME. Ok, I can handle that, although it is definately strange for me after having lived with boyfriends in the past..But sometimes I feel like I am back in high school again....Anyway, i get along really really great with both my father-in-law and my sister-in-law, and even though I still cant speak the language completely perfectly, they are always patient with me, and laughing along with my mistakes and stuff......Then there is my MIL. We never really clicked, as she is a very traditional, small-town kind of lady, and I dont think she was ever thrilled with the idea of her son dating a "foreigner". But I always made an effort with her, and we had a courteous, if not warm, relationship. But now that it has been made clear that we are going to spend our future together, I think this has really hit her hard...not only is he going to move out of her home, we are also going to move together to my country, and she sees me as the ENEMY. I can understand those feelings of anger, maybe jealousy and loss.......BUT I just cannot understand the way she´s started acting with me. Over the last few weeks, she has blown up in my face and started shouting at me over the most absurd and ridiculous things, and outright insulting me. I am a very very calm easygoing person and always try my best to get along with everyone....but this was just the last straw. I've been in the service for 12 years, and I'm currently serving overseas on my second deployment to Iraq. I would highly recommend military service to pretty much everyone, at least 1 term of service. You learn a lot about yourself, being responsible, values, etc serving in the military. The opportunities for education are many, and it looks good on a resume having some practical real world experience. in's Creed: Does any other character have a missing finger?

Strange situation: need to get rid of fruit flies... in my car!?

I had a bottle of juice which leaked into the backseat of my car. I removed the juice and the backseat rug it spilled on, so I could clean the rug outside of the car (it is completely removed from the car and hanging - clean - on my balcony). It seems some of the juice must have spilled beneath the seat, because when I came down to my car yesterday there were 20 or so fruit flies buzzing around. I am getting car upholstery shampoo today to scrub the carpet down, but I get the feeling that won't completely get rid of the bugs. I have a western riding question?

Ok, so I have been riding western saddle for about a year now and I have a few questions. I am in training for barrel racing. I seem to be getting the part of heels down, sit back in the saddle, rock the reins with the horses head when at a lope, move with the horse. But I can’t seem to get the part of relaxing my legs better and doing what I would call slouching, or as my trainer puts it, getting punched in the gut. Is there any exercises I can do that will help that? (relaxing legs and slouching) I am a tall person, so it is hard for me to slouch because of my good posture. Also what I am loping and I make a turn, I can’t seem to turn my upper body on the outside, so when I go around a turn my trainer says to lean the opposite way. When I am turning I go way forward and end up almost falling off. I lose reins, my body falls way forward. I haven’t fallen off yet when doing that stuff, but I am counting down the days till. I didn't like how restrictive the iOS was despite being jailbroken but there are a few apps (iStudez Pro for example) that I almost relied on and the OS clean and simple. I don't have much knowledge on the Android platform beyond playing with the Aria in the store for a bit and running the Android SDK on my MacBook. I also don't have the slightest idea what apps are offered in their Market. I have broken down my choices to Aria vs. iPhone 3 G S and Nexus One vs. iPhone 4 based on performance (clearly the iPhone 4 is more powerful than the Aria and the Nexus One betters the 3G S). My dilemmas are with the apps, value (price and performance), and the Android OS since I don't know much about it. I could care less about Facetime or that VGA front camera on the iPhone 4 and I have used iOS 4 on my gf's jailbroken iPod Touch 2G with multitask enabled. Which phone would you pick and why? Yesterday, I made a video featuring a pile of videos I caught in three dealerships in Renton. Then at home, I re-edit it with the use of three songs I converted into WMA formats. One is from Grover Washington Jr, one is from Michael Buble, and the last is from Dusty Springfield. I mixed all three songs in the video I created and I uploaded it from YouTube. Then, moments later, I received a e-mail from YouTube, then on the following, the audio from my video is muted! It says something about the audio being owned by darn WMG! What the heck is WMG doing with all our hard-worked videos uploaded on YouTube?

My abs have gone wonky?

My abs started to show about 2 years ago (I was 15) and have always been even size and shape and symmetry until a few months ago when I noticed my rib cage had gone slightly uneven; the bottom sticks out more than the one on the other side (no breaks or damage), and now the section of the ab closest to it seems to be sticking out aswell. I heard some people get this when they are growing and the ribs even themself out eventually. Anyone know if this is true?

Why is my ps3 not working properly?

i have not played or turned on my ps3 in 8 weeks. when i turned it on today it turns on normally but you cant move through any menu in the ps3. all the controller does is enter through menus. e.g games videos through the xmb bar. the controller is charged enough. and the menu on the xmb shakes for 3 seconds after you press any on on the controller. the manual doesn't help i have always took care of the ps3 e.g no bumps always ventilated. i need help it is ver cold today about 15 c. i am aware of the ps3 not working when it is below 5c. please help

My toddler turned purple?

my toddler has been turning purple for about a month now i went to two hospitals and both tell me he is fine they say its not his heart because he isnt blue one told me he had raynauds disease but i dont think it is cuz his face wouldnt change colors he gets purple splotchy colored skin its cold and swollen he gets it on his nose lips arms legs hands feet about everyother day for an hour or so maybe even a couple times a day usually while eating sometime just when he is sitting he isnt having trouble breathing though does anyone have any other suggestions on what this could be

School Computer Software?

ok, i know most people will say "why do you care" but i plan on pulling off a prank pretty soon and i know very little about school security software.. i'm pretty smart with computers (i've changed the admins pword and didn't get caught..) and i was wondering if you could tell me what computer software my school has, i understand if i don't have enough info.. but please say that, just the name of the software would be nice. ok, so this is what i know our school can do, when you log onto the schools network with your account, our admin can go to the computer that you just used and tell who logged onto that computer.. also, when you are on the internet, our school has a filter that tells the admin what sites a certian computer was at at a certian time, so if lets say im on computer 23 and look at a site, they can tell that it was computer 23 at such and such time, which then can see i logged onto that computer at that time... what my question is basically, is what software could they possible be using (our school is super small and doesn't have alot of money...) and if i used a proxy, then could they possibly see what i looked at (IM NOT LOOKING AT BAD SITES im just curious, i personally would like to surf anonomously (sorry for my bad spelling) thx alot, hope this isn't to long
