Strange situation: need to get rid of fruit flies... in my car!?

I had a bottle of juice which leaked into the backseat of my car. I removed the juice and the backseat rug it spilled on, so I could clean the rug outside of the car (it is completely removed from the car and hanging - clean - on my balcony). It seems some of the juice must have spilled beneath the seat, because when I came down to my car yesterday there were 20 or so fruit flies buzzing around. I am getting car upholstery shampoo today to scrub the carpet down, but I get the feeling that won't completely get rid of the bugs. I've read tips to get rid of fruit flies in the home, but how do I get them out of my car? I live in a rural area so I don't have Walmart or Kmart around me, I was going to order some bug repellent, but ordering online I am afraid it won't come in time. I need my car back tomorrow! Please help!
