WEIRD message on computer, its probably simple to fix, need help!?

hey i have a macbook about 2 years old never had any problems. now when i try to open a .psd file in photoshop cs3 it says: "scratch disk full" and wont let me open it. How do i clean/empty the scratch disk or what should i do? thanks
