Do Christians as a whole find Pokemon "satanic" or was the woman I encountered a rarity?

Part of the problem is that the "good" cute little creatures in the game use "spells" and "powers" to combat the bad creatures. Since that sort of stuff is forbidden in the Bible many Christians do not allow their children to take part in the game. There are many websites that explain why pokemon is not the game of choice for many Christian households.
