Is there anything in The Dark Knight that is unsuitable for a 12 year old?

It is a rather dark film, and though it was only rated PG-13, there is a lot that will probably go over a 12 year old's head. I think you should probably watch the film yourself first. Then you can make a more informed decision. After all, only you know just what your kid can handle.
